Technology entrepreneurs Jonathan Hendriksen and Tim Williams have bought a 16.6% stake in the Donovan Group Co. Ltd. From left, Brett Donovan, Tim Williams and Kyle Donovan at the Coresteel Buildings annual conference last month.

The future is bright for the Donovan Group, owners of Coresteel Buildings, whose new investors will support the fast-growing company with its vision to be Australasia’s number one supplier of steel frame buildings.

Coresteel Buildings are revolutionising the commercial building sector with their online building design and engineering system, Constructor, and their patented box beam™ product that allows for clearspan buildings to 70 meters, using 20% less steel than traditional methods.

Williams is also a director of Modern Building Products Co Ltd (MBP), an importer of top quality cladding and roofing products from internationally recognised and accredited suppliers. These product offerings have now been integrated into Constructor.

The fusion of expertise from Coresteel Buildings and MBP has transformed Coresteel from a supplier of structural steel kit sets into a total-solutions supplier within the commercial building space.

“Our innovative approach to commercial building provides clients with huge cost and time savings. This investment will now allow Coresteel to offer a top quality range of roofing and cladding products, from MBP, via our platform,” says Brett Donovan, Donovan Group Director.

New investors Tim Williams and Jonathan Hendriksen are excited to be partnered with the Donovan Group. “The Donovan Group’s Constructor system is an industry game changer. We love the way that the company is using technology to disrupt a staid, monopolised and over-priced industry. Clients can now design and engineer large commercial buildings, virtually walk through them and get them quoted in real time at their local Coresteel franchise,” says Tim Williams, Donovan Group Director.

“Having Tim and Jonathan’s technology, business and IPO experience will enable us to advance our technology platform and to capitalize and grow the business to take us to the next level,” says Mr Donovan.

The Donovan Group is a 100% owned and operated Kiwi company that is headquartered in Whangarei. Coresteel Buildings provides services nationwide via its 20-strong franchise network.
