Coresteel Marlborough awarded ‘Best Bespoke Building’

Helping locals build for the future has become a passion for Coresteel Buildings franchisee Allister Green.

That drive was rewarded recently with the franchise presented with the 2016 Coresteel Buildings award for the Best Bespoke Building, for their PGG Wrightson Blenheim project. The award was received at the annual Coresteel Buildings National Conference, held 1-2 March in Christchurch.

PGG Wrightson is a leading supplier to the agricultural sector and has strategically placed their in the Westwood Business Park. Their new outlet offers a large 1,778sqm bulk store, a 450sqm retail area and a two storey office area totalling 455sqm.

“Coresteel’s Tapered Box Beam structure provided a strong and cost effective solution for the building. This combined with the use of concrete tilt panels, metal roof and wall cladding, delivered a building that looks good, functions well and fulfils the client’s brief,” says Allister Green, Coresteel Buildings Marlborough/Tasman operator.

Since breaking into the market in 2013, the Blenheim-based business has provided design and build solutions for a number of local Marlborough and Tasman businesses, including Allan Scott Family Winemakers, Accessman, Blackenbrook Wines, Bryant Earthworks, Coachline Properties, Farmlands, Grove Mill Wineries, Summerland Express Freight and Vulcan Steel.

Coresteel Buildings specialise in the design, manufacture and construction of steel buildings and service the commercial, industrial and rural sectors with 24 franchises nation-wide.
