Central Plateau Rewarded for Marketing Excellence

Coresteel Buildings Central Plateau has been awarded the Coresteel 2016 prize for marketing excellence.

The award was received by directors Logan Frew and Lee Parker-Frew at the annual Coresteel Buildings National Conference, held 1-2 March in Christchurch.

Coresteel Buildings specialise in the design, manufacture and construction of steel buildings.

In the past year the team has created a name for themselves in the Central Plateau/Rotorua region, including the launch of a Coresteel Innovation Award at Tauhara College, and support of the Rotorua Community Hospice at a charity Mitre 10 Cup rugby game.

“The Central Plateau team made a noticeable effort to lift their profile in their region last year, largely through sponsorships and signage. They received excellent exposure as a result, which has prompted them to work on additional new initiatives over the next 12 months,” says Haemish Reid, General Manager, Coresteel Buildings.

Since entering the market in 2015, Coresteel Central Plateau has worked on major commercial builds for Fonterra, Te Puia, Haimes Building Ltd and Brenor Alpaca, alongside a number of other commercial and rural builds.

“The last year for Logan and I has been full of growth, starting with the move to our new office in the Ashwood Business Park. We’ve really enjoyed being involved with Coresteel – a group that encourages our involvement in the community. We’ve got some great initiatives in place now and it’s been a privilege to support and acknowledge these,” says Lee Parker-Frew, Director, Coresteel Buildings Central Plateau.

Logan has been in the construction industry for 15 years. He came across Coresteel Building while looking for a new business direction and liked Coresteel’s innovative approach to steel building construction.

The couple has strong roots in the region. Lee was born and bred in Taupo, while Logan grew up in Reporoa.
