Networking Excellence Rewarded
Shaun Johnston, a joint director of Coresteel Buildings Canterbury, has received the Networking Excellence Award at the annual Coresteel Buildings awards.
Coresteel Buildings specialise in the design, manufacture and construction of steel buildings.
The award was received at the annual Coresteel Buildings National Conference, held 7-8 March in Whangarei.
Shaun is a firm believer in networking and says it builds a constant flow of opportunities when it comes to sales. “Building client relationships is an exciting thing and seeing those clients achieve their goals while I achieve mine gives me great satisfaction,” says Shaun Johnston, Director, Coresteel Buildings Canterbury.
Alongside fellow directors Nicky and Stephen Fitzgerald, the office supports Coresteel in Christchurch, North Canterbury and Central Canterbury.
“Shaun is an avid networker. He works extremely well to build relationships and earn trust through communication, reliability and delivery of key projects. Shaun has been integral in filling the pipeline for 2018 with a number of key focal projects about to be delivered. The award is truly justified,” says Haemish Reid, General Manager, Coresteel Buildings NZ.
During the past few years, Coresteel Canterbury has worked on a number of high-profile builds, including Total Power, Reach Media and a distribution warehouse for Harvey Norman.
A born and bred Cantabrian, Shaun has spent most of his years in the region, with a time spent overseas working in corporate finance. Before joining Coresteel Buildings nine years ago he owned a general engineering company.
