The Golden Hotel on Riccarton Road in Christchurch is unique for its heavily trafficked location. From the get-go, our design team factored in the impact of high traffic on the construction process.

The client found Coresteel Buildings’ in-house engineering capability attractive because working with a local structural steel specialist meant they could control the complexities of the three-storey, L-shaped hotel building. The architect, the engineer, and the project manager could confidently remove potential risks and expertly guide the client through the design and build process.

Additionally, the client desired flexibility to make non-structural fit-out selections and interior additions later in the construction phase, and Coresteel Buildings Canterbury remained agile and responsive to her needs. Our experienced, specialist commercial builders delivered a robust, tailor-made structural steel building that proudly stands on a humming Christchurch road where passersby can admire the minimalist aesthetic and impressive profile.

This building showcases ‘the Coresteel standard’—a heightened level of finish, attention to detail, and quality assurance that our managers and workers apply to every project and will bring to your development.
