Coresteel Auckland Making their Mark

After just over a year with Coresteel Buildings, Auckland locals Bodley Structures have won big at the annual Coresteel Buildings awards.

The team was awarded the prize for the single highest value project completed in 2017, for a 5786sqm workshop and office complex for Inex Metals, located in Mount Wellington.

The award was received at the annual Coresteel Buildings National Conference, held 7-8 March in Whangarei.

Coresteel Buildings specialise in the design, manufacture and construction of steel buildings.

“Our team has really embraced the Coresteel brand and we’re excited to be involved with such a game-changing structural steel system, which I believe is ahead of its time,” says Doug Bodley, Coresteel Buildings Auckland.

“We’ve got a lot to offer the Auckland market and the fast manufacturing times and accuracy of the componentry allows us to be very competitive with structures of any size. We’re excited to see what solutions we’ll be able to provide to the market.”

The Inex Metals project utilises a Tapered Box Beam structure, allowing for extensive spans, and less steel used, without compromising the structural integrity of the building.

“The Bodley team is already showing their successes in the Auckland market since joining Coresteel Buildings. Coresteel Auckland has a growing order book for 2018 and we look forward to sharing many more of their successes”, says Haemish Reid, General Manager, Coresteel Buildings.

Bodley Structures, which is a division of Bodley Construction has served the Auckland region for over 20 years and is spearheaded by father and son team Geoff and Doug Bodley.
